Bandit Day/Bandit Birthday: Bandit Day occurs on the last Friday of the month. On this day, we announce all the birthdays for that month during morning announcements and the PTA distributes gift bags to those students in the front lobby. Students should wear their Bells Ferry shirt or school colors. The class with the most students who have shown their Bandit Spirit will win Chik-Fil-A Icedream coupons and proudly fly the School Spirit Banner!
Box Tops for Education: Save your Box Tops and Labels for Education. Each label is worth 10 cents for the school, and Labels for Education can be used to purchase items for the school. Please send them to the school with your child and include their name, grade and teacher. Classroom competitions will be held during the school year.
Communications: The PTA newsletter contains all the school news and information, along with calendar updates. Be sure to check out our website at bellsferrypta.com and “Like” Bells Ferry Elementary PTA on Facebook.
Fall Baskets: Each classroom teacher picks a theme and families donate items to add to a class basket. The assembled and wrapped baskets are then displayed and auctioned during Conference Week.
Family Enrichment Events: This committee will plan and organize events throughout the school year, including: Movie Night, Holiday Marketplace, International Night, and Bingo for Books.
Nominating Committee: This committee has the responsibility of identifying and nominating eligible candidates for PTA officers and chairpersons. These will be submitted from the floor at the March or April PTA meeting.
Read-A-Thon: This brand new committee will help coordinate and run a two-week Read-A-Thon with Bells Ferry students!
Room/Copy Parents: Our Room Parents are the backbone of the PTA! They work with the teachers and organize the parents in each classroom to carry out the class and PTA projects throughout the year. The main responsibility is helping to celebrate the teacher’s birthday and coordinating the class holiday party. Copy Parents provide a much-need service by making copies, sorting work, organizing class papers, etc. This allows the teacher more time to spend in the classroom and in preparation for assignments and teaching.
Spirit Wear: The winner of last year’s T-shirt design contest will have their design used as this year’s Spirit Wear!
Staff Appreciation: This committee organizes a week of activities designed to show the teachers and staff how much we appreciate their hard work!
Yearbook: This committee will assist with the photography, layout and editing of the yearbook. Organization and creativity are a plus!
